CRUSHED GLASS
Crushed Glass is made from 100% recycled glass. It stands out as a versatile, eco-friendly, and cost-effective option for a wide range of blasting applications. It generates low dust and contains no detectable free silica, making it a safer alternative for manufacturing, construction, or marine industry workers, and excelling in automotive, fiberglass, hobby, and soda blast alternative applications. It is non-hazardous, non-toxic and completely inert, so is safe to use around water.
Crushed Glass particles have rough, sharp edges to ensure a whiter, cleaner finish to the substrate. Crushed glass also provides superior rust back performance versus other mineral abrasives. With a Mohs hardness rating of 6-7, Crushed Glass has a wide range of versatility. The larger sized particles are excellent for removing heavy rust and mill scale, while the finer particles are perfect for surface prep, graffiti removal, and whitening. The middle-sized particles are the all-around size that can tackle both heavy and light jobs with ease.
Crushed Glass applications include but are not limited to:
- Automotive paint removal and restoration
- Light-medium-heavy rust removal
- Graffiti removal
- Commercial restoration
- Equipment maintenance
- Log homes, boat bottoms, pool cleaning
- Paint Stripping
- Coating Removal
- Severe Fire Damage restoration
- Parts Cleaning
- Suitable for restoration of wood, and thin metal surfaces.
- Works well in wet blasting, dustless blasting, and slurry blasting equipment
